6 Degrees of Separation

It’s time for another adventure in Kate’s 6 Degrees of Separation Meme from her blog, Books Are My Favourite and Best. We are given a book to start with, and from there we free associate six books.

This month’s starter is a book that topped lots of 2025 ‘best of’ lists – Flashlight by Susan Choi.

Although I’ve seen many good words about Flashlight, I haven’t read it yet. But a book that was on a lot of 2025 “best books” lists that I DID read is Buckeye by Patrick Ryan.

Another book on a lot of those 2025 lists that I completed recently is What We Can Know by Ian McEwan.

Speaking of Ian McEwan, I keep running across reminders to myself that I really do need to reread Atonement.

Unless by Carol Shields is yet another book (1) on my to-be-reread list and (2) with a one-word title.

Ice is the one-word title of a book by Anna Kavan that’s on my TBR shelf.

The Ice Storm by Rick Moody is also a book I’ve been meaning to read for ages.

I’ve missed the last two months of 6 Degrees because of a focus on exciting travel arrangements. Now, I’m just as excited to be jumping back into this enjoyable meme.

Where did your 6 Degrees of Separation journey take you this month?
