“McCartney attributed the decision to a lack of reader interest, saying the AP can “no longer sustain the time it takes to plan, coordinate, write and edit reviews.” God forbid a news agency put time, effort, and care into informing readers of new and important books.
Especially since most of these reviews were written by freelancers. Really, how much effort does it take to coordinate these submissions?
