Barnes & Noble announced the six finalists for its 2013 Discover Great New Writers Awards, which “highlight works of exceptional literary quality that might otherwise be overlooked in a crowded book marketplace.”
The winners in each category, announced March 5, will receive $10,000 and a full year of additional promotion from Barnes & Noble. Second-place finalists receive $5,000, and third-place finalists receive $2,500.
