What's in a name?

Self-help, self-improvement, pop psychology--these are all terms I could have used for this category. But these phrases all have at least a slightly pejorative connotation that I want to avoid. I have chosen the term personal development because it suggests the ongoing processes of learning, change, and adaptation that we all undergo ceaselessly as we experience life.
